Looks like you're ok on ref voltage. Tps at WOT seems low. Actually, it is low. If it's not below .9 or above 5, I don't know why you're getting a code. As long as it is in that range, you shouldn't have a code.
I'm willing to bet that your PCM might be faulty. If you have a buddy with a similar truck, I'd suggest swapping them out temperarily, just so you don't waste money on a PCM when the original could be good.
Hey Ryan, I've got a 90 450 with the same problem. Have had the torque converter replaced twice since I got the truck in 96 and i'ts doing it again. I'm told that the 40d is just a crappy tranny. Us ford guys wouldn't be happy unless we could f-o-r-d.
e4od`s had their problems the stock torque converters are junk.. if you are pulling trailers, if the trans is in a dump truck, cube van or anything other then a factory stock pickup or van empty and you are using it for work(this means you bought a utility bed truck or tow truck or cube or dump from the dealer) and you did not put a massive cooler on it you are going to have problems. the trans was designed for stock empty van or pickup. i know your 250 or 350 has the e40d but it has to have a cooler (aftermarket) not the little baby one ford puts on it ( 3 row) a 3 row cooler will not cool a lawn mower. heat is the main killer of transmissions. then you have the never change the fluid and filter people. then you have abuse. and dirving your truck in the city in overdrive ( it should only be in overdrive after 55 mph on the freeway and never pull a trailer in od) where it does not have to keep shifting back and forth from 3rd to 4th . if the tps and or mlps is out of operating range you will have problems. untill these problems are resolved dont expect good drivablity. these trannies are no longer the 60`s c6`s or your th350 they are percision units.
So what ever happened with your transmission problems?
Someone posted that you need the ATSG manuals for your E4OD, he is right on the money. Mitchell manuals or the factory shop manuals would work also. There are flowcharts in the manual to diagnose the transmission. You have to go step by step and eliminate the possible problems one by one.
