Header gasket leak

About a week or so ago I noticed a leak. Well this weekend I pulled the header and replaced the gasket with a Percy seal4good gasket. Now my leak is twice as loud. I pulled it again this morning and readjusted it, and it still wont seal over the #8 cylinder. Any advice would be helpful. thanks

Also someone once told me once before when installing my headers the first time that a leak might seal itself. sound crazy?

Well I pulled the gaskets off and decided to flip them over and that solved 80% of the leaks. The haynes manual says to torque to 16 lbs. Not that it dont sound like much but a 76 its says to torque to 25lbs is there really that big of a difference.

i have always torqued them cold and then warm engine then retorque them a second time.I have had headers that were warped or bad welds on them and doubled up the gasket on the side that it leaks and got them to work fine.
