EFI for an FE
I have been a fan of the FE engines for some time. I got the wild idea of putting EFI on a 410 last week and to my delight there are companies working on components for such an application. FAST has much of what is needed but you have to come up with a manifold that will use a Holley carb and then have it machined for the injectors. By the time I get done it will be over $4,000.00 I would like to do it but I'm not sure that is the route to go. Edelbrock answered back as well and they so happen to plan on releasing to the market later this year a complete EFI package that you bolt on and it is ready to go. One will have to come up with the fuel system but that won't be so bad. The Edelbrock sustem will run around $2,800.00. I just might venture out on that one. What do you think? Wouldn't that make a nice power plant for the 50 panel truck?

My friend has an edelbrock one on his cobra and after a year of screwing around with it he is tossing it and getting mass flo. Its 4k also but its essentially the computer and setup off of a 5.0 mustang with a mass air meter and throttle body that looks like a carb. There are injectors at each runner. It is mass air so you don't have to screw around with all the adjustments. The problem my buddy had with the edelbrock one is that its speed density (I beleive) so you have to adjust all the parameters like fuel ration at tip in, low, mid and full throttle and a bunch of other adjustments. The mass air system measures the amount of air coming in and automatically calculates everything.
