Silly 4X4/Fe questions

Ok, I just had a chance to crawl all over my 65 that I bought in Jan. First nice day I didnt have to work. The axles look orig. with 44-8F cast into the front, and 60 in the rear. Dana im assuming. The transfer case is model #24, but it also says under E/M, 300205. The block casting is C3ME-A, is the code correct for a 65 352? And finally, the intake manafold is an aluminum factory ford part, its low rise with these numbers. At the thermostat 3B4, a little farther back, c#AE-9424E. Anybody know what its from?

Thanks
Erin

Might want to post this in the FE forum, but as far as I know, there are no Ford aluminum intakes for FEs.

I was just searching the fordfe.com site, and I think it is from a 406.

66 Beater, the 401 Triple 2V is aluminum 61-2 Galaxie and so is the 2/4V offset on a 410/427 and the 63 Galaxie 406, and single 4V 427 PI, I think. It's Been a while but I believe that C3AE-E is a 406 single 4V off one of the 63 1/2 Galaxies. Maybe Barry will chime in here. . . .
If it is that Intake, you got a really good manifold there. I profess the low rise design myself for a carburetion inducted engine. Especially one with substantial CID.

Thanks for all the good info. I am posting about this in the FE side and I guess it is. Now how about the block being C3ME-A? Is the whole little piggy a 406?

Thanks

Erin, I couldn't find your number in Steve Christs book. Please post what you find out back here, if you don't mind.

I recently aquired a woodie when I was tearing down a 390 and found 410 on the pistons. Found out Ford mixed a lot of parts when putting engines together, and what I had was a truck 390. oh well

Well, thanks for checking your book, a fella in the FE side has told me where to look, and it might be a solid lifter 390. Like a 63.

Thanks
