door ajar

The door ajar issue is very common. Try spraying a bunch of wd-40 in the door latches and working the doors open and shut a few times. The real fix is to replace the switches, but this cures things for a while for most people.
If the power locks won't work... it's possibly the actuators inside the door need replacing. Do a search on "actuators" in the Superduty section and you'll find some good info on doing that.

Actually, that "while" will probably be years!! You may never see that problem again. This has been a FORD problem for a lonnnnggggg time. My '97 Lincoln Mark VIII had that exact same problem 2 years ago. Used about 1/4 can of WD40 and have never seen the problem again......

Do you spray just the latches or the latches & the hinges? I'll spray a couple cans if I need to to get the lights to stop going off & on! It's driving me crazy. I have a '99 Crew Cab.

It's the part actually ON the door. There's the striker I guess it's called, on the door... you want the part that engages on that. It's in the door, with a sort of black lever/latch. The switch is inside there. So point the straw in there and give it hell. Open and close the door a bunch to work it in good, and it should fix it.....
