Oily intake boots
I have oil on the intake boot and I assume the intercooler boots there all pretty greasy. Truck is a 02 with 74000 miles should I replace them or tighten them. I cleaned the grease off and they seem to be in good shape but I dont know

yep, CCV mod will eliminate the oil. take off the HOT SIDE intercooler pipe (driver's side) and clean the boots and the pipe. the intercooler is probably coated in oil residue, so i wouldn't exactly remove and clean the cool side because it will keep pushing oil out of the intercooler. but if you want to, go ahead. spray the boots with hairspray, it makes them sticky.

why would they be oily? I saw a upgraded intercooler set. It was new boots and new powdercoated tubes. Looked pretty neat blue boots and white hoses but it was more than 200 bucks they claimed these are the only ones that dont blow off. Who know's. In will be cleaning them for now. Thanks for the help
