I'm running a Holley 2 bbl right now. If I were to replace the carb, what would you guys suggest as a suitable unit? I don't want to change out my intake manifold or anything. Just wondering what would be a good carb (maybe I could even get 11 mpg!!!).

A well built(rebuilt) FoMoCo 2bbl carb is the only answer to this question, in my humble opinion. Look for a carb from a truck with the same size engine as yours, and as close to the same year also. Then rebuild it!
Jason's right. The Ford 2100/2150 is one of the simplest best carbs out there. As they came with a few different venturi sizes, look for one with a 1.12 cast on the drivers side of the float bowl. If you get a used one to rebuild check to make sure there isn't too much play in throttle rod bore. (Having severe brain fade after a long day- can't think of the proper name)
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll look for a FoMoCo. I haven't done it in years but I remember all those little parts rolling around the newspaper on my kitchen table years ago. Time to do it again.
