390 oiling question
Was reviewing the inside diameter of the oil pump delivery passage and the diameter of the passage from the oil pump mounting on the block to the filter mounting on the block. My question is why is this passage so small? I thought that the ford engineers were using it as restricter. I plan on installing a high volume pump with this rebuild so I was contemplating increasing this passage inside diameter. Has anybody done this to increase or take advantage of the high volume pump ?
