emmsions friendly v8

100 year old OHV v8,

Thats one of the coolest engine ive ever seen, i didnt know they where even made.....werent most v8's of its time flat-head???

the title was a joke....

that was actually pretty interesting to see. the EPA would LOVE engines like that.

Kinda interesting they put the rockers on theoutside like that. Gotta be a pain to set though, with the intakes separate like that.

Flatheads were more popular because they were cheaper to build. That was the main reason for the early Ford V-8, more cylinders for cheaper than a Chevy OHV six. Aircraft engines from back then all had exposed rockers like that.
