Craftsman Truck?

Anyone given any thought to making a Craftsman Truck lookalike for the street? A SWB wide bed (styleside? - don't remember what Ford calls it!), drop the front end with the lowered I-beams, drop the back end any ol' way you want, close in the bed, lighten her up (bumperectomy and a "race" interior) and punch up the engine room for stunning departures - something to just blast around corners in?

Someone in the Ontario chapter has one. I should know who it is 'cause I'm in the Ontario chapter and I've seen a pic of the truck. I think it's a '98. It's a factory special edition.

I used to have a '69 Stingray that I autocrossed on weekends. I do miss that combination of 350 ci/350 HP and go-kart handling. Got to watching the Roush Gong Show and started thinking what kind of fun it would be in a truck. They run 112" wheelbase, 3400 lbs., but they have 5-6 hunnert HP up front. Using an older truck in TX would allow for the motor with more mojo since we can avoid the annual sniff checks for '81 models and older.
