Exclamation Fan Relay

I am installing an electric fan in my 77 F250 and am looking at fan relays from Summit Racing. The relay kits include a thermostat to turn the fan on and off. One kit has a thermostat to turn the fan on at 185 and off at 170 and the other one turns the fan on at 200 and off at 185. I have a 195 degree thermostat installed in my 351M and I am not sure which of the above kits to buy. I need to know as soon as possible. Thanks.

Bill

I'd go for the 200 degree set up. I would sure want the stat to open and allow flow and have the electric fan as the additional cooling air supply when needed. Just my opinion.

Your thermostat is in between the 200 and 185 range, so I would go for that one. Alternately, have you looked at their adjustable models? They aren't too much more money from what I remember.

Are you sure it's a thermostat and not a thermo-activation switch ?
