I wonder if mine might need to be done again. I just got my 03 back from the 06E17 recall and when I drove off, it seems the turbo "burped" of few times. Off a stop, it was like the RPM's increased without gaining speed. No CEL light noticed. I reset the odometer at the dealer and when I picked it up it only read 12 miles. I know that they need to drive them more to let components learn strategies. It did it one other time while driving about 35-45 MPH, but now seems to be OK. Idles perfect, starts perfect warm/cold.
I know it's not good to be pesimistic about dealerships/techs/mechanics and the such, but after reading the process involved with doing a flash correctly it's hard not to be. I'm not sure if they removed the FICM relay, or cycled the key as per the instructions. I don't really notice anything different with my truck post recall except for the items above. Total mile since recall = 50 miles
Now I'm worried that it did not get done right the first time.
