I have a quick question that someone might be able to answer. What, if any, year/model of 1967-1972 Ford trucks had a factory option of clearance lights on the top front of the cab? I have a 1968 F-100 standard cab that I would like to add the lights to, but I am hoping to find a stock setup to use as a template.
My '71 F250 came with factory clearance lights. My '67 F250 didn't, so it wasn't a situation that all fF50's had it. Maybe they were put on F250 4x4's, because my '71 is a 4x4, my '67 isn't. I'll check the Brochures when I get home. That should tell.
my 72 has them, because it was spec'd to haul a camper. i have the order sheet somewhere, i forget if it was checked off as an option or what. LMC catalog lists the ones i have as being for a 67-72, f100 or f250 and sells the whole assembly, or just the lenses and bulbs. they're kindly round, i have a 76 with more square ones. i don't imagine a boneyard would want that much for them. which i want to find cuz 2 of mine are busted!
My 71 F350 has what appears to be factory cab lights, check in the wrecking yards.
Mine had some missing/broken lens and I found replacements at Canadian Tire, buying the set and using just the lens.
That is my brother's '69 F-250. As far as we know, the lights on it are factory stock, although it was done as a dealer option. Ford sent the truck to the dealer, then the dealer got the lights from Ford and installed them at the dealer.
We have talked to several other people and this seems to be standard lights for '69 and older trucks. A lot of changes occured in '70, so they may have changed.
I am not an expert here though. He only got this truck 3 weeks ago, and we're still learning.
