6.9 with NO mo-jo!!!

i have a 85 6.9 that suddenly started losing power, drove a few more miles than check oil........ahhh none/dry. put several qts in, but now it only stays running if i hold it to the floor -1000 rpm is all i can get, let up, and it dies...??

dry cylinders/oil pump? bad ip? what?/how? do i check.

How many qts did you really install...........several by the dictionary is: more than 1 less than 3. What is the fuel level in the tank you have selected........ When was last fuel filter changed, when was last water separator draining. Have you done a fuel pressure and flow test at the filter header Schrader valve......

i put 3-4 qts oil- now is full ....fuel is full....new fuel filter....how do i check presure/find tool----buy,rent,borrow? water separater was by-passed years ago.

Check fuel lines from the tank to the engine. If corroded then air could get into fuel and MIGHT cause something like this (fuel starvation)
