It was a pretty good show imho, more expensive than I would like, probably 90% Mustangs (little disappointing). I watched most of the second round of qualifying, first time I've seen a vehicle to 7-second quarter miles. That was pretty cool. Someone was racing an F1 about the same year as mine.
Ah, I should probably mention that the truck wasn't doing 7-second quarter miles...
Just got home. Pretty impressive stuff. Like Jeff, I've never seen cars go that fast in person. Several 6 second cars, and a lot of 7 second cars. There were cars running 7 second times that were on street tires - granted they were drag radials - but they were still street legal tired cars!!
Most of the diesel trucks there were pretty slow, really. A few into the 14's but most were 15-16 second trucks. Of course, this is not counting David Lott's Snow White truck. He ran several 11 second passes before he blew a hole in one of the up-pipes to the turbo in the second round of eliminations. He still ran an 11.88 that round though!!
I had a pretty good time overall, and will more than likely try to go back next year.
