I am looking for a set of shop manuals for my '70 F-100. I wondered what was the general consenus of whether I should try to locate an original set that are likely in questionable shape, or go the CD-ROM route?
As for the originals, where is the best source(s)?
As for the CD-ROMs, I notice there are several sources on the Web for them. Are any of them any better than the others?
I have both the CD rom and the Shop Manual. The CD is an exact copy of the paper manual. I like having both, but if I were to only have one, I would go for the paper one as it is easier to thumb through. The shop manuals are found on ebay.
I second Sully's post. The hard copy manuals are easier to use as the CD doesn't support sophisticated searches and so on. eBay is the best source for the manual as they are often available. I have the CD too but seldom use it.
