Idling really high
I have a 1989 F-150 XLT 4x4 and it runs really good when it starts up and warms up but as soon as I put it in gear and start driving it it idles at around 2000 rpm. It's not a big problem. I've gotten used to it. The only thing is when I come off the brake it wants to go fast but I just slowly come off the brake and it's fine. I'm selling it though because I just bought another truck and don't need this one. In order to sell it though I don't want perspective buyers to think there's something major wrong with it when they test drive it. Has anybody else had this problem with theirs? I've looked at the throttle body but can't figure out how to turn down the idle. I'm sure it's all computerized. It's a 5.0 EFI by the way.
