Rear end I. D. ?
The axel spline stripped on my stock 351m/400 4x4 and I bought a used complete rear end for $50.00. Rather than change the the whole rear end--I dis-assembled the new rear end and used the axel and the small gears to fix my problem.
Now-My questions are: What are the left over parts that look like some kind of clutch rings.-Could this be a posi-rear end? If it is ---will it work in my truck?
My truck's name is Gnarly.

POSI- is a GM term , I doubt that is a Posi rear in a Ford.
GM guys like Ford 9" rears in theor vehicles.
