Will this axle work for towing?

I have an axle here that I may use in my 1/2 77 F100.I need to know if this will do ok towing.The door tag says axle code 9.The tag from the axle reads from top to bottom left to right WDM-U 3FB 3.70 9 335A Would like to know if these are gam mileage gears or will it be a good low end towing axle.Thanks

Reading that number the way Ford does it, that is a 3.70 gear. It should be good for towing. 3.73 is the most common gear available right now.

I tow with a 3.00 in my truck.
