what trannys will bolt up to a 300?

Pretty much any automatic or manual that came from behind a 300, 302, or 351w. The most common automatics I have seen were the C6, AOD, and E4OD. Manuals could be almost anything: T19, T18, NP435, M5OD, ZF, a couple other different 3 and 4 speeds some with overdrive.

 

Whatever trans will bolt up to the 289/300/302/351 Family of Bellhousings.
That's about a 1/2 dozen each of Light/Medium/Heavy Duty Manual trans & about the same # of Auto trans w/ & w/o O.D.

 

Id just like to say don't put in the E40D unless your willing to accept that its a piece of crap.It shifts stupid and the torque converter will eventually fail.

 

t-56 6 speed, .62 6th gear, then you can put like 456 rear end gears in, and accerate like a rabid monkey!. It will keep you in your torque band, since we know we dont have a power band. The m5od is a great choice, the ZF is stronger and has a granny first gear, but beat the hell outa my mazda and have had no problems with it power shifting ect ect.
