I am sure this must have been addressed here, but I have gone thru several pages and not seen a relevant post.
I just bought a new F-250 6.0 and I am wondering about the pros and cons of synthetic oils. We plan on towing a 5th wheel for extended trips (several months at a time) into Mexico (retirement trips). I am new to the diesel world and am seeking either advice, experience or a pointer to the same. For example if I were to change, when should I do it, now or wait for the first change?
My only experience with synthetics is in my Ducati

This has been addressed and addressed over and over. Just do a search for oil or synthetic and you will have more info than you can read. By the way I have been running Rotella T Synthetic and like it.
