20% seat?

20% seat?
My XLT interior seat configuration is a 40-20-40. WHY did Ford not put a moveable track on the 20% section????? I suppose it is cost but couldn't they have skimped on something else...like do away with the "lockable" tailgate. Don't ever have a need for it as I don't have a topper and on any topper I have been around...a good hefty tug on the rear window, and it's open. so the "lockable" tailgate is a lost. Stands to reason that it would sure give more leg room for at least one person in the rear seat of my super cab. I also think it would be a little more comfortable for the driver if the 20% section was 2 or 3 inches forward. Does any one else agree? Is there any "aftermarket" kit available that would allow the center section to be made moveable?

What an appropriate post for your "handle" to be making! 
With enough time, a welder, and some spare seat tracks, I suspect you could accomplish what you want to do, but the brackets are such that you're not going to EASILY move them.
