overdrive "off" light
My overdrive "off" light is staying lit on my EX. The transmission still seems to shift in and out of od ok but the light says it is "off". What do you guys think???? '01 v10 excursion

I think the wire to the light has worn through the insulation where it enters the shifter, inside the steering column.
Remove the plastic cover from the steering column and you should be able to see the problem. There are three screws that hold the plastic on, they come out from the bottom.

I wiggled the wires at the harness and took out the switch on the shifter and blew it out with air. Now every thing works as it should. At least I know where to look next time. Thanks again!
