Diesel Kleen(white bottle for cold weather and grey bottle for warm weather) and Stanadyne Performance are real popular and i use both. When i run out of one i use the other.
I am using the Diesel Kleen grey bottle (San Diego, CA weather) since it is available at Wal-Mart in a large bottle and I could not find the Stanadyne in my area.
I aslo use Powerservice and stanadyne. But i have found a new product called Empruv. I use it in my tractors and my truck and I have noticed quite a differance in the way the engine runs. After the first tank full with empruv I changed the fuel filter cause it was very dirty. This stuff cleans the whole fuel system very well IMO.

That's interesting Bird dog. I might try a bottle. I'm always trying different products i hear about on forums. I've been using www.lubecontrol.com products in all my motor driven equipment. I'd swear my garden tractor runs better with less backfire using the FP-60. Read about the product at another forum and it seemed well liked. Going to try some of Schaeffers additive too.
Nut
I have been usind Standyne, but when I went to get it from my regular source yesterday he talked me into some new additive from Ford. He wass telling me that with the new diesel with reduces sulfer this is what Ford is marketing so that we do not burn up our injectors. There is a winter and summer formula. It is out in the garage, and I will get the product info next time I walk out there. I will say that it was cheaper than the standyne so I figured I would give it a try. I asked if it recinded the ford memo recommending standyne and he did not know. I will let you all know what I htknk. I am still using the winter formula here since it is still below freezing at night.

I do exactly the same thing here. I try to run the Stanadyne and buy it in bulk for cost savings, but if I run out or forget to take some with me on a trip, the DK is where I go next.
That Empruv product seems interesting, but I didn't see anywhere on thier website the ratio of how much to add per gallon? I would probably try some for the heck of it but would like to compare the cost versus the DK that I currently using.
