Talking New F350

Well I debated for about 20 minutes on where to put this dang thread. Is it the 6.0 forum cause it's a diesel? Is it the Superduty forum because it's a superduty ? or is it the new Ford/Lincoln/Mercury buyer forum because it is a new Ford. I guess if I choose wrong the mod's will move it to the right forum.

Anyways,

Today was "D" day for me. I had filed my request with my salesman about 3 weeks ago and he called this week to say he had found my truck. Today I took delivery of my brand spankin new 2006 SD F350 4X4 Crew Cab Lariat 156" WB 6.0L Diesel truck in Dark Stone with Tan Leather interior and I am already thinking about selling my house and living in the truck it is so nice.

The deal details: My truck has all the regular Lariat ammenities along with heated seats (Yes I live in California and I don't want to hear it), tow command, reverse sensors, hitch, 18" wheels, 6cd radio, auto climate control, FX4 package, power rear window, electronic shift on the fly, brt tublar cab steps, 3.73 limited slip axel, automatic trans and the PSD. The truck stickered out at $48,570.00. I got the truck at $43,240.45, add in tax license etc and $8.75 for "CA Tire Fee" (God only knows what that fee is for. Is it because the great State of California has agreed to let me own tires..Who Knows) with a Grand total out the door of $47,253.68. Subtract from that the $2500 factory rebate, $3500 for a traded in 2000 mustang with 107,000 miles on it and $7500 for a 2000 F150 with 80,000 miles on it for a grand total of $13,500 in "Rebates" for an actual out the door cost to me of $33,573.68. I did purchase the factory alarm for an arm bending $695 but I have had more then a few problems with after market electronics installed and warranty issues that I figured less hassle for me down the road. And it is a pretty good system, I have had them before. I also added on the 6/60,000 mile Premium Care warranty for $2501, in my opinion a good investment if for nothing else, my peace of mind. I also added the 3yr/30,000 maintance package for $1095, which covers all maintance recommended by Ford up to the 30,000 mile service. Again another good investment for me because I barely know enough to drive a car let alone service one. For a total cost of $38,044.68.

I doubt this is the best deal this forum has ever seen but I have known the salesman (Fleet Manager) for a number of years. He has done a number of deals for me. I always know going in that there is not going to be any BS. He shows me the cost and then tells me the cost. No haggeling, no worrying about wether or not I am getting screwed. And the dealership is very stand up always taking care of any issue I have ever had.

Anyways that's my purchase. There is apicture uploaded in my gallery of the truck with more pics to come. If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer them.

Sounds like a pretty fantastic truck, you will be very happy. As for the deal, it sounds like a good one and as long as your happy with it then nothing else should matter. We have the prepaid maintenance package on my wifes truck and it is the best thing going, we love it. Enjoy the new ride.
