My mother in law is in Michigan with our Explorer and the auto headlights will not turn off anymore and are draining the battery. Is there something she can do to manually turn them off. The switch doesn't have the ability to turn the auto headlights off. Thanks in advance Ian
Check the owners manual and see which fuse is wired to the "day/night autolamp sensor" If nothing important is wired to the same fuse , remove it for a temporary fix.
on my 2000 mountaineer there is a plug on the back of the center mirror that is all the controls the auto lamps just unplug it and that will disable the auto lamps alltogether that stops you from removing any fuses.
