SeeTwisted, Dang I thought I had problems. Those DSC adjustable push rods are 3/16 longer than the Crane adj. pushrods so that might help you on the adjuster being to short for the rods you have. If they are the same length as The Crane adjustable push rods. I dont have anything long enough to measure the length on the DSC rods. The Crane website might list the length of those rods #34645-16 and then add 3/16 to see if that will work. Just a thought, Good luck Charles
Beemer, I did use new shafts, TRW I think. When I broke them all down to repair my rockers I didnt see anything that wasnt on it new. No marks or wear of any kind on the shafts or inside each rocker. I have driven it quite a bit today (100 miles or so) after putting it all together and every thing seems perfect. Changed my oil and filter so I,ll hope for the best. I have printed off your preload specs and filed them so I will know for sure next time I check them in about 500 miles. Thank you for the time and effort you went to for that. Charles
The Crane's #34645 are 9.234, And after making a push rod out of spare parts during one chapter of this story I feel that making my own if need be is not entirely out of the possibilities either... I just got to keep things rolling, as this is my daily driver.
