rough idle

I have a 5.4L 2002 F-250. It has been ideling real rough ever since I installed a throttle body spacer. I removed the spacer when it started ideling real rough, but to no avail. It still idels rough and the truck starts to shake at speeds over 40 mph! I am going insane trying to figure out what is wrong. I am going to change out the gasket tomorrow on the throttle body, but I am not so sure there is a leak. Any ideas? I am fresh out of things to try! Thanks!

i guess you know this is the 94.5 to 97 Ford diesel powerstroke forum right? there isn't much talk about the 5.4's or anything after 97!

Did you swap tps sensor to the new tb ?
If so ,it could be it got damaged .
Also after things like this you problably disconnected the battery ,the pcm has to relearn the driving parameters.
Was there a chk engine light on?
