A week ago I feeled power loss. But my wan was loosing power from day to day. My old lady was ill. Yesterday engine began to stall if I press throutle.
It was strange, but when I filled tank she ran a bit better, but for 200 miles only. Diagnos was clear for me: contaminated gas. I've been dissapointed...
So tonight I visited Bosh dealer to purchaise fuel filters (one is in the tank). Fortunatly I have Bosh fuel pamp from mercedes and I got all the parts + Fuel system cleaner + new line connectors in 5 minutes.
Just look at may sender! Its covered by dark-brown dirt! It was amaising, but the tank was clear inside!
The next Idea was to test my pump, So I had to walk to visit Mercedes dealer.
A guy, who have tested my pump tald me, that my pump is Ok. But he asked me about a small part of sender (you can see it, it is marked by circule).
He tald me, that it is not required to use it with my pump, and I followed his advice.
I've cleaned all by Fuel system cleaner and add it in the tank!
This morning I've installed a sender. My old lady runs well (wheels skid at 1st and 2nd!).
I gonna find, who tried to kill my old lady, who gave her a gas with poison!
I know what to do! Where is my AK-47?
A week ago my friend post ne this URL. It is strange, but this AK-47 is with non-standard cartringe (for 45 ore for 60 bullets, difficult to understand). I've seen these cartriges ones before.... I belive this gun is in good condition and this can will not overheat it.
we don't get much dirt, contamination or water in gasoline here in the states anymore...all underground tanks coated with poly/epoxy anticorrosion or are fiberlgass are now double wall with leak and water detection....heavily regulated by states and federal government....
used to be a big problemo until about 10-15 years ago...steel single wall tanks...lots of rust...water condensation
i personally like C4 IED's on the fuel tanks of miscreants...worked in Nam...electrical fuse cap wired to brake lights
I'm still recovering from the little neighborhood hoodlum who poured 5 gallons of corn oil into my tank a couple of years ago. I have never been able to make that car run right since.
The tank was 3/4 full, so it took it a while to get to the engine. I didn't hear any unusual noises, but I noticed I had my own personal smokescreen and the stench of movie theater popcorn and BO. I got in to go to work one morning, it started running badly about a mile down the road, and I turned around and headed back home. I have pumped the system out, flushed it, replaced plugs, regulator, fuel filter, fuel pump, and it still won't run. If I could get the thing started, I might be able to pull some error codes, but right now it is just a driveway ornament.
Did you pull the Injectors? I wonder if he/she poured more than Oil in the tank.
Maybe some kind of epoxy/glue was mixed in and plugged a line or injector.
I've been tald, that it was paraphine in gas. It appeared becouse of low temperatures. That's why tank was clean inside and injectors cleaner flushed all the system easily.

JaY
Replaced the injectors. I am fairly confident of the analysis, as my father-in-law had the gas analyzed in his lab (mahor chemical company) and the culprit was caught with the 5-gallon can of frying oil. I am suspicious that all the fuel issues may have triggered another issue, one that I can't even guess what it might be.
That is a project for warmer weather. Will worry about it next month.
