What Tranny Did A 460 Engine Use?
Can anyone tell me what tranny was used with the 460 engine?and what years did ford make them?thanks in advance.

from reading the later years might have use the 700R? It is basically a beefed up more modern E4OD I think.

I got a 97 F53 (Motorhome chassis, same as F Super Duty), with the 460, and the E4OD tranny.

700R4 is a GM transmission. You are probably thinking of the 4R100. The 460 was gone before the 4R100 appeared.
