newbie with ?'s
Hi I just bought my first f250. I own a lawn care business, and decided to make a switch to ford. Anyway its a used 99 f250 2wd 5.4, are there any issues or problems I should watch for? Its going to have a 150 gal tank in it most of its life. thanks

I don't want to scare you,but you asked and I will be honest with you.
99 5.4L were noted to have headgasket issues(oil leak on both sides towards the firewall) drips on to exhaust.
Issues
How many miles?
Make sure plugs have been changed (you want to prevent plug blow out)
Brakes are on the lightduty side .
Driveline clunk (slip joint grease )
Transmission (torque converter slips)
But if the truck has been treated well and taken care of
enjoy!

You could ask the dealer to run a oasis report on it.this will give anything that a Ford dealer might have done to it .(recalls,warranty work or problems it was brought in for)
If he's a honest dealer they won't have a problem doing it.
