Help!

I pulled apart my hubs but need to run to the store. Is my 4x4 engaged with hubs out or not? I realize that my bearings are exposed but it should run fine (short trip). So is it in or out? Any other reason that this would be a bad idea?

As long as you got your special Nut in that takes that special tool to take it out, and you have that big ring in the inner hub and the c clamp on the axle spine you will be fine. It will not be in 4x4. Jack up one tire it should spin freely.

I guess without the mechanism to engage 4x4 it couldn't possibly be engaged. I guess the only issue would be possible exposure of the elements to the bearings. My problem is finding the spanner socket on a one horse island!
