Need a trani-cooler.

I have a 97' with the 4.6 V-8 and will be doing some towing this summer(camping). Will be pulling around 4400 lbs. It does not have a AT cooler on it and would like to add one. Any recommendations?

Trans coolers are always a good idea. See how much room you have behind the grill and get the biggest one you can. If I recall correctly the fitting on the Rad (stock trans cooler) is a 5/8 Thread (right guys?) The coolers and prob the fitting are available at most autoparts stores. I've seen the fitting in the "Help" section of autoparts stores (where you can buy all the odds and ends.. window winders, tailgate straps, ect.) You can tap into the top fitting on the Rad and run the lines around to the front of the rad and install your new cooler. Reducing trans temps will save a trans from self destruction. Install it and top up your fluid level and you are good to go.
