The drivers side window on my 67 has always been tough to use but now that i took it apart it turns out to be broken. the gears that goes from the window crank to the curved gear that lifts the window, is in several pieces. Where can i get one? or could i attempt to weld mine back together? i don't need an entire regulator but just this little piece, and also don't have the money to buy the whole assembly. if anyone has what i'm talking about please e-mail me.

These are dangerous in my opinion to work on, so be careful of that spring in there. I read a thread here several months ago talking about using the parts out of a passenger side regulator. I do not know how good that info is. As for a part source, I do not believe Ford designed these to be serviceable, so I am not aware of any source for parts on these.

If you could find that gear, it would be a servicable part. It is fairly easy and safe to remove. I have not had time to hit the junkyards, but, I think a power window motor gear might be kludged in. I have searched the WEB for the gear and could not find it.
The problem is its size, at 3/4 of an inch tall and about that wide, its tough to find.
Good point MK. 67's are unusually unique (that might be redundant), but thankfully, there are at least a few parts which will interchange between the 67-72 series.
I thought the '67 regulators were different than the '68-'72, at least they look different and have a different part #. Are they totally interchangable or just some of the pieces?
I think the interchange manual lists '67 all by itself and '68-'72 together.
I fixed my '72 by taking good internal gears from the passenger side of a '72 junkyard truck. There is a thread on this board by onefine69 that details the process.
