I guess they do not want you to have the information on how to clean it and I do not know how to get it to you now.

My '93 F-150 doesn't have a MAF, but my 94 Town Car does, and cleaning the MAF sensor helps greatly. Why i don't exactly know, but it can make a big difference. My Taurus was stumbling and stalling until I cleaned the MAF, then it ran like a champ.
Mine requires a "tamper proof" torx bit to remove the cover, you can get one at a parts store for $3 or so. Or you can just carefully drill the pin out of the middle of the torx screw...but I wouldn't do it .
When you clean it, just make sure you use something that does not leave a film. I know some threads here suggest brake cleaner, I haven't used that. I use an electrical contact cleaner from Radio Shack, it has a brush built right into the spray tip. Seems to work fine.
The MAF sensors I've cleaned (94 Taurus, 94 TC) have looked like two goal posts next to each other. Just be gentle, mind you don't break the wires, and don't be in a rush. If the thing is easily accessible, the job'll take 5 minutes. Go for it.
