warranty info
i would like to no if u were to replace muffler and tail pipe to after market or, just delete muffler all together, would this raise a (void of warranty) on any future problems. 2005 f350 cc 6.0 17000 miles new turbo at 4000 miles brakes resurfaced at 8000 miles. trucks going in for service for brakes again rear caliper stuck. so my question is stuck stock till warrany expires?

Ford motor Company is now telling dealers to take pictures of all modifications on a track and email them to them for decisions on warranty work. If you have made modifications take them all off(except exhaust, cat back of course) and you should be fine. I am in a battle with them right now and my Chip maker has been very helpful. For head gasket failures look up TSB 05-26-23. It states that damage caused by modifications is not covered. Interpretation is up to them but legally they have to prove it was the chip that caused it. I am not hopeful in winning my battle without going to court. Ford has won the last few of these by the way.
