Question, while changing my headlight bulbs I seemed to have broken the two little tabs on one of my harness assemblies. Would this be a good time to change out to an upgraded harness, or just replace with OEM. FWIW, dealer quoted 49$ for single harness assembly. Looked at GOS, and they sell the upgrade for 45$.
To those who have done this mod, is it an easy install and are the results worth it?
Thanks,
Jay

Yes, go with an upgraded harness from GOS. The difference in light output is amazing... MUCH brighter.
The install is very simple. You basically unplug the old headlight plugs, plug in the new harness, plug one of the old headlight plugs into the backside of one of the new harness plugs, and then bolt the two power leads to the pos. battery post. It includes thorough directions, as well.
Exactly... if it's going to cost you the same amount to get a new one from Ford as an upgraded one, get the upgraded one so your headlights will be brighter! You're sure to notice a difference once you've got it installed.
After that, add some Sylvania Silverstars or Xtravisions bulbs in place of the stocks and you'll see another boost in light output.
I've been thinking about these upgraded harnesses...glad to hear there is an improvement enough to make it worth the work. Pardon my stupidity....who is GOS?
