alright, i have been doing a lot of research and talking to people and i want to sum up everything i think i have come to. please throw in any and all suggestions.
i have a brand new 300 straight six in a 93 f250. fuel injected. it has been bored 10-30 over (reman engine). somehow i got ahold of a carbed head. i have efi exhaust manifolds. i want to cut off both cats, y the two manifolds into a 2.5 inch pipe. as close as i can to the y, i want to put a magnaflow muffler si/so and run it out before the passenger tire. if it sounds a little raspy, i think i will buy a 2.5 in universal cat and stick it on there right before the muffler.
what are your opinion? did i compile all of the information pretty well? i know this has been beat to death but i wanted to be sure of my setup before i spend a bit of money. thanks everyone for all your help!
That sounds like a good idea, but I would run it out behind the rear tire in stock location if you are going to leave it single. I would also put a 3.5 inch tip on it. This will make the sound deeper as well as keep your wheel clean. I think the side exit in front of the wheel looks cheap and cheesy.
