Auto Trannie
going from Driving a standard for the last 13 yrs
I'm now in a 93 F150 with an auto trannie that seems to shift very rough at times... There is No rime or reason to it....It also seems to go into over drive to quickly.
I have changed the fluid and filter, I dont think it has ever been changed, the truck has 87,000 miles. But it didn't help...
It's a 5.0 engine and dont know anything about the trannie except it's a 20 bolt pan...this was importaint when I bought the fluid and filter.
3 speed overdrive.

take inspection plate off where engine and trans. meets up.
find drain bolt by having someone clicking ignition with coil wire off until you see drain bolt.
get yourself a manual if you need more help.
until you drain convertor you have only done 1/3 of the job.
