Quick Headliner Fix

Hey guys`
I dont know if this really matters, or if its just mostly common knowledge but I thought I might just post it cause hey, it might help someone. I bought a good looking headliner the other day- good looking as in no tears, rips, or mold. It did however sag a big and have just a general wave pattern to it when layed down. Well, so fix this I cleaned the top ( the top I refer to being the part that does not show in the cab) with a sponge and hot water, then turned the heater on it to dry it. Once it was dry, I measured out a piece of pretty thin wood, and cut a chunk 22'x44' and centered it on the headliner. I sprayed the wood and liner with 3M glue stuff, and then layed them on each other and piled on the weight! I went for anything heavy which resulted in a few buckets of water, a few of dirt, a sandbag, a cement bag, fertilizer, grass seed, and paint cans. I would advise having weights close by and ready hahaha- although it was kinda fun to find them. Anyway, I left it on there for an entire day, and I just went out to check on it- BAM! Straight as new. The wood will add a little more stability which will require me to add another screw or two in the center support of the headliner but its worth it to have a no sag headliner. Just a suggestion for those who want to easily fix some headliner sag. Next on the list is to either add a flame patern with foam, or a FORD logo with foam and then cover it with black fabric? Hmm....$$$$ issues might force me to go with straight black spray paint for now.....

Hey Tristin,
Go to the local Joanne's fabric shop and get a couple of yards of fabric off their discount bin. $6. 1 can of Headliner Spray adhesive. $6 A piece of 1/2" foam. $10 Your done. Just tell your girlfriend you have more important things to spend the money on than a movie. Yea, RIGHT!
No, I guess that won't work. Hey, I got it.....send us all your address, we'll each send a buck and you can just name us all as "sponsors" next time you enter that sweet truck in a show! Problem solved.
