Dash Troubles

Hey everyone I need a little help fixing my dash which I hate to say an air freshener destroyed. Long story short don't get the liquid air freshener that clips to your air vent, if it happens to turn over and spill on the dash the liquid will eat the plastic.

I have a 2006 F150 4x4 super cab and the dash got destroyed just under the 12V accessory plug in to the right of the radio / air conditioning controls. It appears that the destroyed piece is part of the over all dash so I am guessing that I would have to remove the whole dash to replace it. My question is, are there any ways to fix the dash in place that includes retexturing and coloring it. My second idea is to get a after market smoothed plastic dash cover that I have seen on other vehicles. It looks as if it just sticks to the existing dash. I would definitely go with the second option but I have been unable to find anything that is made for my truck. I am looking for any help possible; it is killing me seeing my baby scared up.

The dealership messed up my dash in a similar area and they ended up have to replace it after repairing it was unsuccessful. They could not get the paint or the texture to match. They do sell dash kits at Moss Motors for our truck in different styles: http://www.f150store.com/Browse/PlateMenuProducts.aspx?WebCatalogID=28&PlateTypeID =1&SubcomponentID=148
