3700 Rpm!!
First time I towed with new '06 using tow/haul I went down backside of hill. Trainsmission automatically downshifted and immediately went to 3700 RPM for engine braking. I have never seen a diesel hit that much RPM and not have rapid disassembly. However, since it did it all by itself, I assume that is OK.
What is the max RPM that should concern me when engine braking?

Not sure about for engine braking but what I was playing with my tuner this past weekend they had an option for the RPM limiter. Seemed to be (from what I remember) the factory was 4150 and the SCT let me lower it to 4000. Or I may have read it wrong and the SCT wanted to raise it to 4150.... not sure as this is my first tuner.
