Brake problem
Ok , I know I am gonna get heck for this but here goes.... I am a Ford fan , true and blue but my son in law has a D**ge truck, his problem, Right? Well not exactly because he has a brake failure and that could have affected every one on the road. His pedal goes to the floor, with a bit of resistance. I started the engine and pulled the vacuum hose from the booster can and there is great vacuum at the can. There is no change in the RPMs when depressing the brake pedal and there is no hissing inside the cab or out so I am assuming that the booster is OK. If the piston in the master cylinder gets stuck could this cause the problem he is experiancing? I figure brakes are brakes and this forum has helped me out for the past 4 plus years and if anybody coud set me straight it would be the Ford guys, besides I don't want to try to find a D**ge forum because I don't think that there would be any more knowledgeable people than the folks here.Thanks for your help, Stevieray

sounds like the master cylinder has blown inside. Time for a NEW one. Skip the reman ones. The new ones are only 20.00 more and are more reliable. www.rockauto.com www.napaonline.com www.kragen.com
