The A is for a 240 not a 233 according to this site.

You are absolutely right jad1097. The 240 would be correct for what is likely a 66 model with its November 1965 production. You mention a 233. No evidence of any 233 used at all.
Sorry for the mistake BIG66PROJECT. The 150 hp. 240 should be, or once was under your hood.

This is the information as I see it on this VIN DECODER thing I got somewhere on this site. I tried to cut and paste the info here but it came out all wrong. It definitly states the A code 1966 240 produces 150 hp. @ 4400 r.p.m. It also says that the 300 produces the exact same hp. only @ 3600 r.p.m.
Is this all wrong or something?
