1995 A/c Question

Was the R134 or R12 used on the 95 model Ranger and if it was the old stuff,is the conversion pretty basic?

You're lucky. 1995 has R-134a, the new stuff.

Tiggie how about the 1994? Is it 12 or 134a, do you know? My 1992 exploder has Still has R12. A couple years ago I blew a line and recharged it with some stuff I got a NAPA called Freeze 12. I wonder if that stuff is still around for those of us still using R12 or are we just screwed and have to convert!!

1994 is borderline, someone with a 1994 could tell you. I know 1995 is R134a while 1993 is R12. Yes, Freeze 12 is still available, you just have to have a license to install it now (like R12). You might get lucky and find some real R12 locally (you can install it yourself, just don't tell the EPA).

I think my 94 had the old juice from the factory, because there is a label on one of the pipes that indicates an R134 swap-in.

Not sure if there was a mid-year cut-off for the old stuff...
