Hi!
I want to know the advantages disavantages of the models and the engine, the fuel consomation and every comments on this model because I actually look to buy one and put some money on the body and th engine to make of it a nice little pick up.

The only great choices are the 2.3L I4 and the 4.0L v6. Or you can swap a 4.0L into a 2.9L truck, with some work, but nothing horrendously major.
Auto trannies can be garbage, but their problems are well known.
The Mazda manual tranny is decent. I just fixed the shifter bushings and tranny shifter pins this week in my truck...this things shifts great now!

The 2.9L is highly succeptable to cracked/warped heads and head gasket failures if the engine overheats. Just one time is often all it takes. The M5OD tranny, while being somewhat sluggish to shift, is pretty reliable other than the shift rail plugs that like to swell and leak.
