With having to pay off college loans and credit card debt, I can't spend as much money on truck as I would like. So, it leaves with a lot of decisions to make. The first thing that I would like to do is make the ignition better. Which comes to this question, which should I install first, the Pertronix Ignitor or a MSD Ignition Control Box? If you think that I should go to the latter, should I go with the MSD Blaster, 5, 6AL, or the 6-Offroad?
At this point the truck is completely stock, this summer I was to rebuild it to a 390, then add cam, intake, and carb in the fall.
What do you guys think would be best? Whatever I don't do now, I will do later this spring.
If money is your concern, go with the Pertonix. If you want the best, go with the MSD system. Search this forum and the engine building forum, this topic has been covered extensively and you'll get more info.
If your knuckles ain't bleeding you did something wrong.

I would install the Pertronix module first to get the reliability in the distributor.....(by the way check out the Large Cap Up Grade in the Tech Articles section)...Then when the funds are there do the MSD 6, or 6al control box to get a real boost to the finished system.
