Reverse Sensing System

I have a new 06 EB Expedition 4x2. We love it so far! We have only had it a couple of weeks. When we first got it the reverse sensing system worked fine but I have noticed it does not sound anymore. When you put it in reverse, the display on the dash says it is on but you do not hear any noise.
Any thoughts on this? If it says it is on when you put it in reverse, but there is no noise, I guess it must have broken already? I can't imagine it would stop so soon. I hope it is operator error and it's something simple. Anyone have similar problems?

Add it to the "to do" list for warranty work.

I don't think I need to insult your intelligence by asking "is there anything behind you?"

Yes there was something behind me. Don't worry about that. I have made such mistakes before.

I was hoping it was something simple I was overlooking and I would not have to make a trip back to the dealer.

Thanks!

Do they put 4 sensors on the new ones? I've got an 03/EB with 2 sensors that is supposed to be a better system but has gone out. Just says "check backup aid".
Just wondering.

Mine stopped working after we had a lot of rain. Was out for a couple of weeks, then it started working again. I think moisture gets in a sensor and disables the system. After it dries out it works again. JMO

For all of those things to go out at the same time I would suspect a fuse, or a connector. There are fuses inside and there should also be some under the hood.
