what do ya think?
when i accelerate in my f250 with a 400 it feels like the power is choppy almost like it is missing. but when i push in the clutch the motor is smoth as can be.could it be the trans going bad?

I would look at the fuel filter.When you push the clutch in the engine is no longer under a load so there for it does not require as much fuel however when you release the clutch it may be starving for gas.This has happened to me on my 78 F250 4x4 with the 400m.May as well do a complete tune up while your at it which should include a check of the vacume advance at the distributer.Good luck.

nope noise just stumbles when accelerating and when i push in the clutch and push on the gas it reves great. i will try the tune up first i just got it a few weeks ago and i dont know the maintenance plan.
