New Aussie

While searching for info about my f100 I stumbled across this site. All I can say is I think I hit the jackpot, there is so much info here I will not need any other sites.

I am currently doing some minor work to clean up my 1977 f100 4x2. Its a good honest old truck but I am having to get something with a few extra seats with another kid on the way. It just has a stock 250 6 cylinder in it but at least its great on the fuel.

Have had newer vehicles but for the joy of working on and reliability you cant beat the old fords. Drove it from down here in Victoria all the way to Queensland and back (round trip of about 3500 km) with a full load of furniture on the back and got better mileage than my wife in a 1995 fairmont. It was 40 odd degrees celcius all the way up and back and the only thing it needed the whole trip was a new set of points which were due to be replaced anyway.

Anyway congrats on a great site.

Welcome aushorse to FTE. Sounds like you have a great truck.
40 odd degrees celcius is very warm, the old girl must be running good to take that without a wimper. Glad to hear it only needed a set of points which were due to be replaced anyway.
